How
to Enrol
Enrolling is simple! Just follow one of the options below:
Options 1
1. Select your course
2. Contact a local agent, they will be able to guide you through
the enrolment process.

Option 2
1. Select your course
2. Press the "Enrol" button, print and complete the
form.
3. Attach copies of all academic qualifications:
- School reports.
- Examination certificates.
- English language test scores -such as IELTS
- & if applying for the full-time Certificate III or Diploma
Art courses:
- Your portfolio* of 10-15 examples of your work.
4. Return your application to AICA.
If your application is successful, you will be sent a Letter
of Offer. This will contain your course requirements, fees payable
and the date your course will start.
To accept this offer of a place, it will be necessary to pay
the fees and charges specified in the Letter of Offer. This
will include initial course fees, the Overseas Student Health
Cover charge.
Language Requirements
Overseas students require one of the following scores in a
language proficiency test, when enrolling in a Certificate
and/or Diploma course:
IELTS 5.0
TOEFL 173
TOEFL 500
TOEIC 625
Portfolio Format*
The work should be submitted flat (i.e. not rolled) in a portfolio
of robust construction not exceeding 60cm x 90cm or can be
emailed or sent to AICA via CD-ROM. Work submitted in postal
tubes will not be assessed.
CONTENT 10-15 works, which include:
• Original works such as drawings, designs, paintings,
prints, collages, photographs and/or
• Photographs of three-dimensional items such as sculptural
pieces, ceramics or paintings and/or
• Documentation of alternative works and/ or
• Works in progress such as sketches, journals or
workbooks; and/ or
• Video/ digital presentation.

to visitors of all ages and interests. Consequently, the Gold
Coast offers students more than a place to study; it is such
a diverse and exciting place to live.
Australia’s Gold Coast region offers 70 kilometers of
uninterrupted coastline of beautiful golden beaches, with lush
subtropical rainforests only a 30 minute drive away.
The hinterland offers many contrasting activities from bush
walking, horse riding and hot air ballooning to visiting Art
Galleries and Museums as well as great restaurants and craft
shops.
Accommodation
The Gold Coast has a wide variety of accommodation options to
choose from, including:
• home stay with Queensland families
• private rental of apartments or houses
• Share accommodation with other students.
AICA or your local agent can provide you with information regarding
the best accommodation type to suit you.
Visa & Study Information
Tuition
Fees Payment
International student can choose from two options to pay their
fees:
1. Pay in full prior to commencing your course.
2. Payment in full at the commencement of each term.

Visa Procedures
If you wish to study for longer than 12 weeks, you will require
a Student Visa. Further information regarding visas is available
from the Australian Embassy, Consulate General or an educational
agent in your country. If you are already in Australia you may
be able to apply to change your visa on-shore, please contact
DIMIA for further information.
The minimum requirements of the Australian Government are:
• A letter of Offer and Confirmation of Enrolment from
the AICA
• A medical check-up
• Proof of financial support

Medical Insurance
You must have acceptable health insurance cover for the period
of your intended stay in Australia.
To meet this requirement, you should pay for overseas student
health cover (OSHC) , which will provide you with medical and
hospital insurance.
AICA can organise the OSHC premium for you and arrange to pay
the health insurance cover on your behalf; Alternatively you
should obtain it yourself and provide evidence to the office
processing your visa application that you have OSHC.

Working
while you are traveling
All initial student visas granted do not provide permission
to work in Australia.
Students will only be able to apply for a student visa with
work rights after they arrive in Australia and only after the
student has commenced their course of study.
International Students are limited to 20 hours' work per week
while they are studying their preferred course.
